Before the Storm V

We’ve been playing a lot of Ghost Recon and Halo during the afternoon. My family joined Preston’s as they walked the dogs. It was a relaxing way to get a last look at the outside before the storm hits us. Still could see blue skies. The wind is starting to blow. Good kite flying wind. Like you get at the beach. Folks have got thier homes ready pretty much. Saw one family playing catch in the yard. Another group of kids were trying to free some toy lodged up high in a tree.

We got back to the house and I took some pictures of the sky and the van that carried me through so much. I’ve had this car over 10 years and she performed well yesterday. I suspect she will get me home when the time comes.

Well we played more X-Box. But I had to pause for the beautiful sunset we saw. It was red red red. No orange in this glow. It was too intense. I hope I can upload these pictures to share with you.

After that we played some zombies. It was fun and my son won so he is happy. ITs 1:30am now and I prepare to go to bed. The wind has gotten stronger. It really sings through the higher branches of the trees, No rain yet, but it should be starting up any time now.

i guess storms are better than hurricanes compared. same goes for tornadoes huh! :O
(never thought will come to a day when we’ll have to make comparisons like that.)

I’m glad that your family has such good friends and that you were able to evacuate as quickly as you did (well, not the actual driving part).

I hope that when you return everything is okay on the home front.

a big hello to Mrs. SA!

When you get your storms, tell me, I will have to prepare for mine …

I used to play Rainbow Six, I think it’s in the same line of games. Fun stuff, good book too, btw.

@misti Its hot and muggy. The winds are high. Every now then a gust blasts through, but no reason to sit inside. Starting to dread the thought of the drive back. Traffic prolly going to be worse. Oh well. Least I’ll be home.

@alisa Friends really make the world go round. Tough situation has been made comforting and relaxing. I hope the house is okay. But cannot do anything about it until I get back. Leave that in God’s hands.

@Lynne We’ve been blessed on this side of the storm.

@Justin Yeah Ghost Recon 2 is a lot like Rainbow 6. R6 was an excellent read. Love to read Clancy books now and then. His eye for technical data is keen and he presents it in a most interesting way.
