A Question To the Reader
But how does one become so close to people that we only see on the web? And most times when people are seen it is a photograph they have selected. Bloggers rarely expose their bad hair days. Neither can we smell that hair or get assailed by bad breath or other odors as we gaze at monitors and type our comments.
Blog meets provide information to the multitude of readers that cannot attend. These meetings allow those at home the chance to compare notes between each blogger’s report. The reader takes impressions on dress, attitude, and manner which are matched and framed like a jigsaw puzzle in the mind’s eye.
Affection for your blogroll grows with each day of posting. There are bloggers who I initially felt we might never get along. Yet life is funny and as time transpired I became close to them. One learns to always keep an open mind with bloggers. Yet another blogger leaves half a wink and my socks are totally blown away.
I try to maintain a discipline and go down the blogroll alphabetically when I make my rounds. But some people make it hard to maintain this discipline as they prod my soul. It is difficult to suppress the want of seeing how they responded to my last comment. Moments pass, filled with wondering have they made a new post.
Excuses are made and justified. They commented on my blog so I should visit immediately. Why delay? Do other bloggers make these choices as they blog?
I have a question for you, the reader. This inquiry has been juggling inside my head for the longest time. Would appreciate all your thoughts regarding this issue and share what comes to mind. And what is the question you ask? Is there such a thing as Platonic infatuation? Is it possible?

New skin, new look, new tongue?? ehehe…Plutonic infactuation?? Possible babe….nothing is impossible….at least to me of course. Is that modest enough?

Every thing is new except the tongue Mag. It’s been getting me in and out of trouble way too long.
I really wonder. When the virtual reality encounters the physical reality do things click the same way as they do on my keyboard.

It could but thats just looking for trouble, my opinion though. Single with single, would be ok! Dont u think?

Yay! You picked the fun picture. I love it.
And I don’t know if there is such thing as a platonic infatuation…. I mean… well, hell. I don’t know.

hmmm. platonic infatuation.. that’s atough one. i guess we all can get infatuated platonically with someone, but the infatuation is not as long lasting. Ahh.. what am i saying??? hmmm.. i really dunno.
And my jaws feels very tired each time i look at that tongue. hahahahahaaa…

good thing you ask. Yes one can get pretty much acquainted to a certain degree. Esp when you take that level of blogging to a closer level of wanting to know the person personally. And then meeting up face-to-face.
Sounds like some online dating match-making thing mind you. But I’ve been there done that. It’s not really a bad thing either =)

That’s a slippery slope, my friend. People become infatuated with all sorts of things–celebrities, sports, politics, and so on. But the longer the infatuation is allowed to continue, the stronger it grows. It can potentially take over a person’s life. I know someone in his 50s who was addicted to college football. He had a wife and two daughters, but he planned his entire life around being at the television to watch college ball. He even knew–admitted–he had a problem, but it was several years before he was able to go cold turkey. Nip this infatuation–platonic or otherwise–in the bud. Making friends is great, but keep it in perspective.

soo, the simple american is infatuated platonically? hehe i dont know if it is almost as equal as platonic love. maybe it’s possible, maybe it’s not.
as to having EB (eyeball)meeting with a fellow blogger, nothing wrong i think. it’d either be letting yourself more infatuated or disappointed. no harm trying.
as a blogger, i really find it hard to bloghop aphabetically and religiously because i dont have the ample time and the finest resources to do so but i try to visit when i have time. makes me guilty though sometimes.

ooh you decied to use that picute?! i am surprised the one of you picking your nose didn’t come out tops! hahaha.
platonic infatuation? possible.. but then if not controlled, or given a certain amount of precaution, might lead to a small thing like platonic infatuation spiral into something worst..
this post made me think too! than for posting this up!

Yes, if you ask me, if it is possible for two persons to be really close and yet, leave the lust out, it can happen. Well, if both are singles, there aren’t any concern. I am talking about two attached persons, k? So, both have to be adult enough to know the consequences of playing with fire. And both can remain soul mates, but stay out of any compromising positions lah. Like don’t two platonic infected infatuated adults ended up in some foreign places alone, then, I guess it gets risky. Otherwise, I do enjoy some very close communications that I don’t do with the spouse with another man. We have that connection but we don’t indulge on it. Arrrggh…I hope you get what I mean? Anyway, I once played aunt agony to a friend (married) who got confused when platonic bordering on volcanic. I told her to pray, pray, pray and ask God to save her. Hahahaha. It works. They lost the risky feelings and he got married. LOL.
