Oh gosh. My best friend's younger son is autistic. I have a link to his blog, Ed's World. He posts on autistic topics now and then. He put his son on a special diet and it has worked quite well for the boy. Don't know your situation but just wanted to let you know you could read of his experinces if you desired.
