Alaska Cruise Day Three - Lunch

Here are some pics of lunch on Day Three. I’m sure you recognize me and the missus.
That is #3’s brother-in-law and wife. Had a good time with them.
But most important. You can see lunch time in the International Dining Room. First they brought us a bread basket. I selected a scone for myself. Very firm and crunchy crust, while the inside is soft and smooth. A nice salad got me primed for some calamari rings. The sauce was exquisite. I ate Sheperds Pie, which I have not had in ages. This was the best I ever tasted. Sacre’ bleu. My wife had fish, I don’t remember what type. For desert I had key lime pie that melted, dripped and oozed down my throat. My daughter had some pistaccio ice cream and they made it look so delicious.
Next post will have pictures of Glaciar Bay and more of my family.

Welcome to my blog suituapui. I’m half your name as you can see from the photo. Don’t think he has been to Oz. Though he travels back to China pretty often.
L B, the sotong was delightful. Wish the chef could have cooked the beastie from Pirates of the Caribbean.
Yes YL. That was the butter. So creamy and smooth. Everything in the International Dining Room was exquisite.
Muahahahaha @ Titoki. Here is a napkin for that drool.
And napkin for you too M.
All of that was a part of my lunch except the fish and ice cream, Robin.
Uh Plinksan? Where is that Candian skunk at?
I need the whole gym hijackqueen. It probably would have looked better if I could have taken a shot before the missus started eating it. It tasted quite delicious I assure you. I stole a small taste.
Never Cocka.
Thanks Candi. I liked the dishes too. Nicer than anything I have at home. Promise more humans on the way. And tons of ice.
I’m fricking huge Wuching. But I am already back on track for my weight loss. I weigh close to 252lb (115 kg) in that pic. And I promise more food pics as time allows.
I wanna go back Alisa just for the food. Be nice to travel without a bum knee too.
Good Jane. You should believe.
You should eat something FF. Would stop that tummy growling.
Those are potatoes laymank. They crusted nicely and the insides were smooth and so yummy. Dude I got a tub belly. Pot’s too small.

You look so nice and pinky…must be all the cold sea breeze… and such a pretty piece of butter too…
August 15th, 2006 at 12:44 pm
It was the best PY. It tasted like a dream.
*giggle* Ticklish Angel. Careful or I might go liuliu all over the place.
*more giggling* Course you can misti. Just member I may go liuliu.
I think it is just the poor lighting Kat. I really had not been outside a whole lot yet. The butter was pretty cute. I wonder if they had a mold or they buy it like that?
August 15th, 2006 at 5:56 pm

August 15th, 2006 at 6:43 pm
Ah SA! STP beats u hands down!!! Last Monday, I weighed in at 119kgs…and after 1 week in Miri, one town in Sarawak, gorging myself with all the nice food in the hotel I was staying…I didn’t dare to weigh myself after that!!! BTW, what I meant was ur bro-in-law resembles that Aussie blogger who calls himself “Willy”, oops…I mean “Whills”, but come to think of it, that fella’s not so good looking!! Ha ha ha!
August 15th, 2006 at 7:11 pm
I have never tried to make it myself JJ. This one was different having a potato crust rather than a breading. I rather enjoyed it.
*wink@misti* *giggle*
I know who you were referring to suituapa. I gained close to 4kg on the cruise. Now I gotta knock that fluff off.
August 15th, 2006 at 9:25 pm

hmmm… perhaps that explains what WC said, man, you look big.
with compliments
August 15th, 2006 at 10:11 pm
The food is so good you cannot help but eat and then wanna eat more.
August 16th, 2006 at 1:38 am
Such a sumptious lunch! And it’s not like they give you some cheap stuff to just fill your stomach huh?
And good presentation too, even the butter is nicely presented..
Now, you took any shot for the buffet spread?
August 16th, 2006 at 2:10 am
The food is already paid-for. Who cares. Just eat and eat and eat!!!
August 16th, 2006 at 4:08 am
*pretends not to know about skunk*
Oh, if only I had a camera for angel, misti and SA
August 16th, 2006 at 8:42 am
I don’t think I took any shots of the buffet. Still sorting through all of the pictures ZM. I guess there is a reason I’m not a photojournalist. hehe But all of the food is just excellent quality.
That’s what I told myself hijackqueen. Forget the South Beach. Forget high fiber. Forget low carbs. Remember the full belly. Yum!
Ah hmmm Plinksan. I’m not sure I fully understand the skunk thing either. So dun pretend too hard. And get a camera silly.
August 21st, 2006 at 10:32 am

Where’d Seefei go? They had those things all over the dining room. Of course we had fun. It’s a cruise.
