Why do I want the Police CD? Thier music takes me back to my late teens and early twenties, when I was in the army. The Police provided a great way to rock and forget some of the drudgery of life on a German kaserne. They were also created some of the first music videos I ever saw. If any music can make me feel youthful again it is that of the Police.
For me the Police always had a song that reflected my mood. When I was having girl troubles there was Can’t Stand Losing You or So Lonely. And they had songs that made me feel so happy that I was in love such as Roxanne, Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, and Every Breath You Take. Let me mention my all time personal favorite Do Do Do de da da Da which sent out an SOS to all of us Police fans.
So what excites you about the new Police CD? Tell me in the comments. I look forward to seeing which tune moved your heart.

Didn’t dig much of their music, find it to reggae most of the time BUT I do love King of Pain and of course Every Breath. I think the solo Sting comes out much better, overall it will be great if they get together and make some new numbers.
SA: When they first came out I ignored them a lot. I thought they were some punk rockers and I just had no time for that kind of music. In time I saw I was wrong. I never thought of them as reggae though.

Invisible Sun! love that song and of course Message in a Bottle
SA: Those are some great tunes and videos also.

Ooooooo…… I didn’t know about this one. Invisible Sun, King of Pain and especially Wrapped Around Your Finger….. brings back the good days
SA: Yep! Lot of good memories with these fellows.

I so want this CD. I can still remember the lyrics to Every Breath You Take.
Sigh…pity that this free CD offer is for US residents only. Hope you get it, SA
SA: Hope you can get it when it makes it to Malaysia. Thanks for the hope!!!

somehow seeing the word police reminds me of the old HK TVB tv drama series Police Cadet 84
SA: Was that a good show?
May 29th, 2007 at 8:48 am
The Police were one of the first bands I got to see in concert, back when I was a wee lass. Now, I’m not so into them, but the nostalgia factor is definitely there still.
SA: Cool you got to see them. Wish I had. Doubt I can get tickets for this new tour.

my poor databank in the head only managed to recall ‘Every breath you take’, the one and only.
SA: Well that is a good one to remember. For sure.

Ahh… The Police. Yes, very fond memories indeed. Never got to see them live, but I saw Sting for some of his earlier solo albums. He closed with an acoustic version of Message in a Bottle, with the entire audience singing along. That was pretty amazing.
As far as classic Police songs go, aside from the favs like “Every Breath”, I really admire “Walking on the Moon” simply for Stuart Copeland’s amazing drumming.
SA: Yep. Stewart Copeland is an amazing drummer. Being a drummer myself I really appreciate someone that knows how to beat the skins.

Did the Police ever break up or were they like the Eagles who took a 14 year vacation or was it 7 um… let me crawl under my rock now *slinks away*
SA: *Lifts up rock*
*Sets on ground*
*whacks rock with hammer*
You won’t be needing that rock anymore. *hugs*
I think they just went off and did their own things. Sting of course is the most visible with his solo career. And there seems to be a nostalgia for old bands to get together. With the Police this can only be a good thing.

Murder by numbers, one, two, three

I just had to stop by and breathe a huge sigh of relief. The Astros finally won. Woody Williams got the win AT HOME. YAY Astros!!!! I am such a happy girl tonight!!!
SA: Thank goodnes. I hope they can turn it around. They have the tools to make a run. In my heart I believe they can compete.

SA, I missed my free time to blog-hop through my friends blog. I haven’t even answered the tag your good friend kindly gave me. One of these days.
Isn’t sting “the police?”
How are you liking this PPP?
SA: I have been away too. Hopefully, can get back to my normal routine now.
Sting is the major third of the police. But I think the other two members have their contributions that make the sound unique.
PPP is okay. I need to increase my rating so I can get better paying ads. In time I should achieve this. But you really have to pay attention to what the advertiser wants or they will refect your ad. Has happened to me once, so I really pay attention more now. I also have to be a little more picky in the ads I select. Being a CPA I do not feel comfortable posting about loans or credit cards, for example.
