Getting Started
Have any of you heard of Clay Nelson before? This gentleman is a life coach and he spreads his message on the radio, via tele-seminar, and on CD sets. I had the opportunity to listen to the CDs for his Getting Started Series.
Have any of you heard of Clay Nelson before? This gentleman is a life coach and he spreads his message on the radio, via tele-seminar, and on CD sets. I had the opportunity to listen to the CDs for his Getting Started Series.
As you can see, this is a three CD set, which includes web-links that enhance the learning experience. Each CD covers a different topic and runs around 45 minutes. This is perfect for my long commutes.
What are the topics? Clay Nelson starts off with Creating Your Purpose. I found this to be similar to Steven Covey’s defining of an individual mission statement. Basically write out why you are here and then make sure everything you pursue helps achieve that defined purpose.
Disc 2 covered How to Let Fear Serve You and I enjoyed this disc a great. I know I am going to listen to it a few more times as I like Nelson’s approach. Basically he says fear should be used to help an individual get things done. Don’t we all enjoy the roller coaster ride? Nothing worth while is achieved that does not involve fear. So we must learn how to conquer the terror that might hold us back from out purpose.
Commitment is the topic of the final disc. I need to listen to this disc again. I kept getting interrupted.
I like the series and intend to listen to these discs again. On his web site he has some information for business planning that I may purchase too. His principles could be the boost I need to get my firm operating finally. He has a blog, an e-book and newsletter that are available free of charge. I suggest you give them a look and determine if you like his way of approaching life. If you do then you can make him your life coach by purchasing more of his products.
