Get Help

Friday, November 30th, 2007

Yep. That’s what I said. If you need help don’t wait for it to come to you. For help escaping drugs, drug rehab is where you need to look. Don’t fool yourself. Don’t put it off. Drugs are sneaky. You don’t think you have a problem but you are only fooling yourself and hurting the people that love you. Please find help. Seek out drug rehab before it is too late.

Subdomains Headaches and Writing

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

I am still trying to get this subdomain stuff working. Man it is a pain. Reading more about stuff I would prefer not to have to read. Just give me a wizard and couple of buttons to push. Then I can get it done and be happy.

As I learn more I have some ideas for other subdomains. The Writer’s Journey comes to mind. Some of you may have wondered where I am going with the script I was plotting. There is a new television show called, Moonlight, which uses some of the story background I intended to use. I know I wrote my story a few years ago and planned to rewrite it along the same lines. But I prefer to take the time to think about where I can plot my story away from this new entry. I really want this to be a salable piece.

Change My Office

Wednesday, November 28th, 2007

My office is becoming a pig sty. I need to rearrange everything. Some more shelving would help out a lot. Selling some of my brother’s stuff on eBay would clear out space too. Currently, I am using our old kitchen table for a desk.

While surfing for office solutions I found some Bush furniture on the web. They have some nice looking desks. And I think a hutch would be helpful too.

Turkey Congee

Wednesday, November 28th, 2007

I mentioned that part of Thanksgiving at my home is the congee made with turkey bones. I just had to share a picture of my first bowl of congee. It was so good. Wish it would have had some of those jellied duck eggs, but it tasted wonderful just the same.

I wanted to get pictures of the missus preparing this, but she moved too quick for me to follow. Well, actually she woke up early and I slept while the missus cooked. Next year perhaps. I recall promising Zara’s Mom to find out how my missus prepares congee. Sorry my friend. I dropped the ball again.

Back To The Desert

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

One thing I liked about Las Vegas is the desert location. My earliest memories are of the Arizona desert, which is quite similar to southern Nevada. Vegas has so much going for it. Good food. Excellent entertainment.

I guess I should take a look at Las Vegas Real Estate properties and see how much I need to save. Then I need to decide whether I want a vacation property or make this a permanent home. Ah the decisions one must make.

Thanksgiving Din Din 07

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

Okay. No more waiting. Have been too slow posting lately and must not hold off any longer. First Thanksgiving dinner requires a table with plates, silverware, napkins, and hot pot covers. Glasses are nice too of course.

Image0031.jpg

While grabbing plates in the kitchen I stole a peek at today’s special guest.

Image0051.jpg

But to warm up our tummies we had some shrimp and cocktail sauce. Always stretch first before taking on any streneous activity, like Thanksgiving dinner.

Image0061.jpg

Then we bring in the dishes that remind us that we are having American Thanksgiving dinner. One of my favorites is cornbread dressing.

Image021.jpg

And then sweet potatoes.

Image019.jpg

Penne pasta is always nice.

Image0101.jpg

Spanikopita was a new visitor to our Thanksgiving table.

Image0131.jpg

Pumkin scones were good enough to make one faint.

Image0091.jpg

I insist on having my cranberry sauce. Tradition demands this dish.

Image0121.jpg

And because I am half Chinese (and everybody else present is 50% to 100%) we mush have bok choy.

Image0181.jpg

This year the missus sliced the bird up. I just realized I was fired. Huh?

Image0141.jpg

Image0151.jpgImage0161.jpg

The pumpkin pie and fruit tart vanished before I could catch them with the camera. Or was it because we ran out of glasses and I claimed this bottle as my own!

Orlando Rents

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

So excited about our pending Orlando trip. The city, not the Bloomin’ fellow. Though I like the characters he portrays.

We have made four trips to Orlando since the missus and I married. Sometimes we go with just the kids and other times the missus’ siblings join us with their families. Next time we travel as a big group, we better look to the folks at Orlando vacation rental to help us find a rental house. We can even rent a home with a pool.

So chup and I look forward to reading your post.

Cruising

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

The Thanksgiving holiday brought cooler weather. No snow but that is to be expected in this part of Texas. We might wake up to a blanket of snow every three years. Down here we just get rain and more rain.

The weather makes me want to flee. I think Carnival cruises might provide a good means of escape. Good food, good drink, and wonderfully warm places to visit. Even warm rain beats a chilly rain in my book.

Yummies From Penang

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

This post is over due. But I want to thank Angeleyes for thinking of me. Well I did thank her online already, but I like to thank bloggers for their gifts here too.

Image0241.jpg

Look at those food packs. Assam Laksa. Prawn Noodles. I’m so ready to try these out. Yummy! Yummy!

I read Nyonya on this package. I keep seeing that term. Can I request a translation please?
